PhD registration

puceGeneral point about PhD registration

To register for a PhD, you must hold a French ‘MASTER recherche’ or a French DEA (diplôme d'études approfondies).

If you hold a different French degree (for example you have a degree from a French Engineer’s School) or if you have a foreign degree, you must obtain an exemption from the ‘Commission d'admission dérogatoire’. This Committee studies the application that you must prepare with the help of your future PhD supervisor. The procedure to follow and the documents to submit are listed here.

Note that registration is eventually granted by the President of the University, upon the proposal of the Director of the Doctoral School and advice from the PhD supervisor and Director of the Research Unit.

You will find below the deadlines by which applications for exemptions must be submitted to the Doctoral School:

- 28 Novembre 2011
- 14 May 2012
- 25 June 2012
- 27 August 2012
- 24 September 2012
